Detecting Monochromatic Beacons

 

The following is a guide for Amateur Optical SETI (AMOSETI) enthusiasts that desire to attempt incoherent detection of possible monochromatic continuous wave (cw) ETI laser beacons.  It is based on the use of a commercial fiber optic spectrometer.
